How Do I Seal My Tile Grout? Installer Left Some In A Spray Bottle, But Do I Do It On Wet Or Dry?

Sealing sanded grout with ceramic tile? Get a applicator bottle. It has a wheel at the end. You turn the bottle up and squeeze the bottle slightly. Roll the wheel along the grout lines and it is sealed. No need to wipe it up. The grout should be cured, dirt free, and dry. So it have to mop before you seal, you should let the floor dry, before you seal the grout. To practice, you may want to a hidden spot. You can keep a rag or sponge handy. If get a little sealer on the face of the tile wipe it up. If a little sealer laps up on the tile next to the grout, it usually dries and is noticeable. Just large drops worry about. You can test it by dropping a drop of water on the sealed grout. If it beads up, as opposed to being absorbed into the grout, it is well sealed. The initial application you may want to do twice, but should be fine for years.

Most home improvement centers carry them, or you can get one a tile wholesaler. Only 5 bucks or so. Money well spent, you can easily do 300-400 sqft in a under a two hours.
Don’t go cheap on materials for this. I can’t think of a spray-on sealer that I would actually use in any of my customers’ houses. AquaMix (www.aquamix.com) makes a product called Sealer’s Choice Gold. This is top of the line for clear sealers. Make sure your floor tile and grout are clean before-hand, then as said above apply with a roller bottle. These products in real-life application (not based on what the bottle says) hold up for 24-36 months under average foot traffic, although this also depends on how recessed the grout joints are, etc.
Go to Lowes ,Home Depot,etc and buy tile and grout sealer. you just put it on and wipe off ! Be sure not to wipe off inside the grout , wipe off tile only ! allow to dry for 24 hrs. repeat if necessary.
One coat should be enough.
I don’t understand “wet or dry”…I just sprayed it on and left it alone. It is a sealant and dries itself.
